Decarbonizing with Hydrogen-on-Demand: Integrated Power Systems Streamline Adoption

PEM fuel cells combined with methanol-to-hydrogen (M2H2) technology are helping shippers and naval architects chart a course to net zero emissions. With this combination, there is no need for dangerous and cumbersome high-pressure tanks or cryogenics onboard. A new solution goes one step further, collocating M2H2 units with fuel cells to maximize efficiency in a smaller footprint. This integrated approach is not only enabling shippers to take advantage of grey methanol as greener options become more viable, it’s setting them up for full compliance ahead of global decarbonization mandates. Win-win!
