USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115), the newest Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, was commissioned at Naval Air Station North Island on July 29, 2017. The ship was commissioned after Mr. Rafael Peralta, a U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Originally from Mexico,
