Clause:

Unless a DCMA (formerly DCMC or DCAS) exemption code is listed on page (1) ofthis purchase order, Government Procurement Quality Assurance (GPQA) actionis required prior to shipment from your plant. Upon receipt of this order and/orany subsequent modifications, promptly furnish a copy to the governmentrepresentative who normally services your plant or, if none, to the nearest army,air force, or defense supply agency inspection offices so that appropriateplanning for government inspection can be accomplished. In the event that therepresentative or office cannot be located, our purchasing department shouldbe notified immediately.Your shipping document or packing list shall be used to indicate performance ofrequired GPQA action. The following statement of the governmentrepresentative shall be entered on all copies:“Required GPQA of listed items has been performed.________________________ (signature or DOD stampof authorized gov’t rep.)________________________ (date)________________________ (typed name of office).”Should a disagreement arise regarding government acceptability of the item(s),attempt to resolve the disagreement with the representative and if necessarythe representative’s regional office. If you are unable to resolve thedisagreement, contact our purchasing agent for further instructions.Should the representative waive his right to inspect and then decline to sign orstamp the shipping documents or packing list, note that fact on the shippingdocument or packing list with the following statement and proceed withshipment:“DCMA representative waived his right to inspect and declined to sign/stampshipping documents________________________ (signature of vendor representative)”.This situation could occur when the DCMA representative declines to sign/stampthe shipping document because previous shock approval has been extended andwitnessing of a shock test is therefore unnecessary.In no event shall any DCMA or other government inspection, approval oracceptance be construed as inspection, approval or acceptance on behalf ofpurchaser or to any way preclude purchaser for rejecting any item(s) that arenot in full compliance with all purchase order requirements, including, but notlimited to, timely delivery; unless otherwise expressly provided in this purchaseorder, purchase acceptance shall be after receipt inspection by purchaser atpurchaser’s Newport News, VA premises.
