ALTERNATE PROPOSALS - Rent Free use of Government Special Tooling or Special Test Equipment

Clause:

If use of Government-owned facilities, special tooling, or special test equipment on a rent-free basis is anticipated by Bidder in performance of the contemplated contract, Bidder is requested to submit two proposals. One proposal will show a price based on rent-free use of facilities, special tooling, and special test equipment, and the other will show a price based on payment of rent for such usage. Both proposals should assume that use will be on a noninterference basis. The usage charges will conform to the rates prescribed in FAR 45.403. The proposals will identify the Government contract to which the facilities, special tooling, or special test equipment is accountable and the Administrative Contracting Officer (including address, telephone number, and FAX number) with cognizance over the contract. In addition, Bidder will provide a list of the property accountable to the contract that will be required for the contemplated contract; include nomenclature, property identification or control number, acquisition date, and acquisition value of each such item of property and indicate the completion date of the Government contract.
