Mercury, compounds of mercury, or any device which contains mercury and has only a
single boundary of containment must not be brought near or into contact with:
A. All areas of Newport News Shipbuilding
B. All areas aboard U.S. Navy ships under construction, overhaul, or repair;
C. The material(s) or area(s) on which the services of this purchase order will be
performed.
If a mercury-containing device must be used in the performance of these services, prior
written approval must be obtained from the manager of Quality Assurance of Newport
News Shipbuilding.
