SPECIAL TOOL CONTROL

Clause:

All Buyer or Government owned Special Tools that are fabricated, reworked or repaired byApproved Tooling Sellers, and Buyer, Government or Seller owned Special Tools that are used as media of inspection (MOI) for the acceptance of goods fabricated for Buyer or its Buyer’s Customers shall be controlled in accordance with D950-11059-1, “Production Equipment and Special Tooling Quality Standard.” This document defines quality assurance requirements for acquisition and utilization of special tools, tooling Seller surveys, tool design reviews, first article inspections, tool routines, release status control, tool inspections, shipping/receiving screening inspection, and tool discrepancy control.Seller is to contact Buyer’s Authorized Procurement Representative to obtain relevant sections of D950-11059-1 as determined appropriate for this tooling procurement.
