ONBOARD REPAIR PARTS REQUIREMENTS

NOTE: If this purchase order (PO) identifies a NAVSEA Drawing Ordering Code orNAVSEA Drawing Part Identification Number (PIN) in the Manufacturer's Part No.(PIN/VPN) field of the PO item, then no vendor action is required in regard to thiscoded note and the material is to be provided as specified.The purpose of this PO is to provide material to be used as onboard repair parts inaccordance with the ships' Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL). The ships'COSAL requires material provided to be identified by applicable National Stock Number(NSN). In many instances, NSN material is made by more than one qualifiedmanufacturer. This PO will list a qualified manufacturer's part number or PIN and thecorresponding NSN for each line item required. If an alternate manufacturer's partnumber or PIN is to be provided, one that differs from the one specified by the PO, thealternate material must first be approved by NNS, via Vendor Information Request (VIR),as corresponding to the required applicable NSN.
