ELECTRIC BOAT ONLY FILM PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS

Electric Boat ONLY Film Packaging Requirements
-Where radiographic film is required, please follow the below direction. If there is NO radiographic film required, the following clause is not applicable.
-Please note this is for Electric Boat Film ONLY.
-Film includes RT Production Film, Radiographic Shooting Sketches (RSSS), and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
Electronic Vendor Procedure Approval Request (VPAR):
1. Each submittal shall have its own VPAR submitted via SPARS.
2. Radiographic (RT) PRODUCTION FILM ONLY: There shall not be more than one Purchase Order Line Item (POLI) per one single VPAR. This is to ensure Electric Boat can store the film properly.
3. Supplier shall ensure that POLI(s) are correctly displayed on the VPAR submittal.
4. Supplier shall ensure that all quantities on the VPAR match what is being submitted.
Physical Film Package:
1. Each exposure shall be in its own inner leaf inside the envelope.
2. Each serial number shall be in its own envelope.
3. The VPAR number shall be written on the outside of the envelope.
4. Only the VPAR number that the film is being submitted under shall be shown on the outside of the envelope. No other VPAR numbers shall be on the envelope.
5. The associated (a) serial numbers, (b) joint, and/or (c) heat numbers shall match (1) the envelope, (2) the description of document, and (3) the film.
6. If there is more than one envelope for one VPAR, mark each sequentially out of the total.
NOTE
- For example, if there are four (4) envelopes for one VPAR submittal, mark the first envelope as "1 / 4", the second as "2 / 4", the third as "3 / 4", and the fourth as "4 / 4".
7. Inspection reports, RSSS # paperwork, and, if there are any "casting" weld repairs, the weld map, shall be submitted with each of the film envelopes.
8. It is recommended that the supplier put film in a water-proof plastic bag, wrap the film with bubble wrap, and place in a cardboard box for shipping.

2. If VPAR number exists, the VPAR number(s) shall be written on the outside of the shipping package. The VPAR number(s) shown on the package shall be the only one(s) within the package.
3. Each shipping box shall have the POLI written clearly and boldly near the shipping label.
