SAN DIEGO, CA — RIX Industries was honored to continue its long tradition of supporting US Veterans with a warm welcome and representation at Gary Sinise Foundation and United Service Organizations (USO) events this past weekend.
Wounded Warriors traveling from as far away as Florida were hosted by RIX at the Gary Sinise Foundation golf tournament and Washington Nationals vs. San Diego Padres baseball game at PETCO Park. The entire weekend of events was made possible by the generosity of Larry Jackman at the Pan Tai Inn and United Service Organizations (USO) board member, Laurnie Durisoe.
“RIX Industries is pleased to have been able to play a small role in supporting our wounded warriors, which continues our long-standing relationship with a number of great veterans charities,” commented Terry Allvord, USN (Ret.), of RIX Industries.
ABOUT THE GARY SINISE FOUNDATION:
In 2011, Sinise founded the Gary Sinise Foundation, which raised $35 million last year. Among its many programs are specially adapted smart-homes for severely wounded veterans provided mortgage-free. Sinise also leads the Lt. Dan Band, which has performed hundreds of concerts, at military bases and in war zones.
Most recently, Sinise published “Grateful American,” the title of his latest memoir. It’s the reason why he felt compelled to direct that passion on behalf of our veterans, wounded warriors, first responders and their families.
