Details
RIX’s cryogenic liquefiers are efficient, robust and maintenance free, making them ideal for onsite, point-of-use liquefaction of most gases anywhere electrical power is available. RIX offers custom packages designed to fit your specific application. The cryogenic coldheads are installed directly into the ullage space of an existing bulk storage tank or into a separate vacuum insulated condensing chamber. As gas comes in contact with the cold heat exchanger the condensing liquid falls to the pool below. In those applications requiring a separate condensing chamber, the liquid is transferred back to the storage tank via a pump or pressure build system. The cooling power can be manually adjusted or set to automatically maintain a certain system storage pressure. - Features

Features
The heart of RIX's long-life, no-maintenance technology is the resonant linear reciprocating motors. These have a unique wear-free bearing system, with unlimited life and pure single-axis motion. This eliminates contact between moving parts and associated lubrication requirements. RIX motors utilize an innovative interdigitating moving magnet design with robust coil-over-iron stators. They are recognized throughout the world as the premier linear reciprocating motor. Combine these with RIX’s unique thermoacoustic Stirling coldheads, with no moving parts, and you have a cryocooler that requires no maintenance and has very low vibration. Our variable frequency electronic controllers are matched to the resonant frequency of each cryocooler. This optimizes performance while minimizes power consumption. Sensors are provided to monitor vibration, motor temperature and main heat rejector temperature, shutting the system down if a problem is detected. The supply power is automatically modulated via a PID control loop, based on coldhead temperature, which maintains system temperature and pressure. This autonomy, along with a single push-button start, makes RIX liquefiers simple to use and allows unattended operation.
SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS:
The liquefactions rates of our cryocoolers are dependent on the gas being liquefied, the temperature of the gas being liquefied, and the system pressure. The production rates (without heat exchanger losses) are estimated as follows:
