Air-Cooled
Industrial Compressors (5 to 50 HP)
RIX's non-lubricated air-cooled
compressors are available in one to four stages at pressures up to 10,000 psig.
These compressors all have distance piece separation of the compression area
from the lubricated lower ends to ensure clean gas compression. The 4VX has a
force-fed lubrication system for the running gear while the 2V is
splash-lubricated. RIX's patented spiral teflon piston rings are used in both
designs. Special materials are sometimes used for hydrogen and bone-dry
nitrogen compression to high pressures.

The RIX 2V frame can be used for
one to three stages of oil-free compression, either to low pressures or for
boosting up to pressures as high as 6,000 psig. Splash-lubricated lower end and
distance piece separation from compression cylinders.

The RIX 4VX four-throw frame can
provide up to four stages of compression for hydrogen, nitrogen, CNG, oxygen or
other gases. The heavy-duty lower end is force-fed lubricated for very long
life. Custom-formed air cooling shrouds provide excellent cooling. A very
rugged unit going into demanding situations.
