Liquid and Gaseous Oxygen Production System

RIX Industries’ energy efficient Thermoacoustic Stirling technology, developed in partnership with CHART/Qdrive® and Newport News Shipbuilding, represents the future of U.S. Navy cryogenics. Deployed on the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), the most advanced aircraft carrier ever built, this RIX Industries’ shipboard-qualified liquid oxygen (LOX) production system simultaneously produces both LOX and gaseous oxygen. Achieving major reductions in lifecycle costs and improvements in efficiency, this highly integrated autonomous design delivers nearly “hands-free” LOX on demand, reducing energy use, size, weight, and maintenance to streamline crew requirements and associated training.
